“Greatness lies in the midst of mastering the mundane.”

There is a lot of lather, rinse, repeat in life. Some things just have to be done. Living a life of purpose doesn’t mean we don’t have to empty the dishwasher or take out the trash, but there is an energy to the day when we are living in alignment that puts a bounce in our step and makes these things easier to do. When we are motivated by our bigger why, the mundane is simple. When we learn to do the simple things with ease, we build consistent habits that help us do bigger things to advance our purpose and success follows.  How we do the small things is how we do the big things.  Know that it’s all connected, the little stuff matters.

Daily Action: Find gratitude for the simple tasks by naming the blessing out loud.

  1. I have a dishwasher to empty
  2. I have a bed to make

Daily Reframe: Simple tasks are not boring, they are the training ground for greatness.

With Optimism,

Wendy
