In my personal experience, creativity isn't something that was emphasized much to me as an athlete growing up, but I think it is such a crucial part of life. Creativity can be seen in sport, but we as athletes also tend to get wrapped up in only thinking about sports. Having something creative outside of our sport is a fantastic way to create balance in your life. I've experimented with a couple different things such as drawing and cooking. It took me a long time to understand that being creative doesn't have to be being an artist, but it can also look so many other ways.
